Bon Voyage

Well we had yet another great night at this private party, the lucky person who was the special guest is not only leaving his job but off to sunny Cyprus to live, oh how we all dream of such a life!

The audience were all fantastic and as always we had several encores before we had finished for the night not only did the guests have a great night but the band really enjoyed themselves, special thanks to the hosts who accomodated us very well by keeping us fed and watered all night.

The next public event is at The Old Lane Chippenham on 7th August and we hope to see you all there to have yet another cracking evening, don't be shy come and have a chat with us as Chris especially loves to chat so much that the only time we have any peace from him is when we are on stage, even then he still has a few comments!

Until next time!

Miners Welfare Club

What a great night we all had at the Miners Welfare Club last Saturday.   Wasn't quite sure what to expect first of all as the dance hall was very large and almost seemed as though we had gone back in time, although we certainly made a few more new friends and they certainly knew how to enjoy themselves.   They were dancing from the first number and ended up doing 3 encores! The audience just couldn't get enough and would have kept going all night if it wasn't for the time restrictions I am sure we would have!  We have been booked for more dates already so we are all looking forward to the next visit.

Of course we are all looking forward to the 26th of June for a very special wedding anniversary, 25 years WOW that's certainly a big deal when you think..... how many people do you know that have been married for that long?  It could well be a night when the band make an exception to have a drink or two and will be a night to remember!!!!!

That's all for now .......until next time!

Caroline & Malcolm's Wedding

Well it was certainly a lovely day and and very hot evening, the venue was beautiful but it would have been better if we had a breeze through the patio doors.  We had a great night and even a couple of special guests, Malcolm's brother joined us for a couple of numbers and even performed solo, unfortunately he lives in France otherwise there may have been another member joining the band!  A special treat for Malcolm was for him to get up with the band and sing Caroline, something that he has wanted to do for years!  Just so happened that he married Caroline that same day so obviously dedicated the song to his bride!

We are venturing to the Miners Welfare club this weekend a new venue for us so not quite sure what to expect, but we've not had a bad gig anywhere yet so hopefully this will be another cracker!  Will write more about this after the gig.

Until then TTFN

Many Happy Returns Bright Stars

Well the 4th birthday party of the Bright Stars went down very well indeed, everyone had a fantastic night once again! It was great to be invited back to perform for the nursery for the second year on the trot, but alas there was no nursery rhymes or postman pat, (unless you count Chris' car/van) as the little ones weren't at the party, strictly adults only. Er I say adults only, I'm not quite sure how but.... Chris was allowed into the venue, not saying anymore on that one!

The night went brilliantly and as usual didn't want us to stop playing, if only we could have gone on all night... I'm sure Clive would have if every-one let him!

Many thanks to the young lady that organised the event, you did a fantstic job and looked after us very well, it was a pleasure to be at the party and we look forward to the next one!

If you have any photos of the night please email them to us and we will glady enter them onto the site for all to see!

Until next time...TTFN

Oh what a night!

Well if you weren't at The Old Lane last night then what a night you missed! Not that you would be able to get into the pub as it was packed to the rafters, standing room only, the only dancing you could do was to sway with the crowd! Unless you wanted to pogo!

The crowd were fantasic and loved every minute of it, the atmosphere was spectacular, a night that will be remembered by all for a long time. We would like to thank an honorary member last night, Pat Darcy for adding some brilliant saxophone tunes to many of the numbers and playing along with Sonia, Baker Street went down a storm and the crowds responce almost lifted the roof off the pub!  We were also joined by MIke Morrisey on the drums for a couple of numbers who played extremely well considering it was off the cuff!

It was great to see so many friends unfortunately we didn't get enough time to speak to you all personally.

Every one left on a high including the band and I know Stuart picked up at least one new admirer! Watch out Stu, you seem to becoming the sex symbol of the band and girls just wait until he starts singing his lead songs too!  I think we'll have to limit it to a couple of numbers though as I don't know how much drooling we can take!
