3 hectic days

Well, Friday evening 27th aug and were off to The Red Lion, Arlingham, bit of a rush straight from work. This place is brilliant, we're made so welcome, out in a small village near frampton on severn. As usual the crowd and landlady were all up for a good time, we didn't disappoint, the second set went on for 2 hours as they wouldn't let us go, eventually got away.

After a bit of a lie in, it was sort out for our visit to The Grasmere Hotel, Salisbury for our wedding evening. As per all weddings they never run to time and this one was no exception, eventually got set up and started playing. This crowd were even more up for it than the previous night, but alas the hotel management put a spoke in the proceedings, finish by 11pm bang on the dot or we pull the plug, what a load of party poopers. Dispite this the guests had a brilliant night.

Sunday 29th, Trying to recover from the previous 2 nights, here we go again, this time for  a terrific cause HELP FOR HEROS, this gig was thrown together at short notice, and we could tell, asked to play for 90 mins, arrived only to find another band at last minute decided to play so hang around for  1 hour, finally got on 9pm to play for hour set only for them to decide to do the raffle half way through set not amused as had to be finished by 10pm.

All in all we had a mixed weekend, but totally knackered. here's to our next triple header.

The wilds of Worcester

What a night, after travelling the back lanes of Worcester we finally arrived at the venue. Wow all decked out in flowers and foliage even the stage. We had a few gremlins set in but they were sorted by Mike pretty darn quick. Paul & Annie ( Groom & Bride) were really up for a fantastic night and we didn't fail them it was non stop dancing from start to finish, we even had guest  singers Lucy and the groom himself even though he did have his leg in plaster, this didn't stop him having a night to remember.

Roll on bank holiday 3 gigs in a row.

Old Lane

Well what a fab night another one under our belts!  Crowd just wanted more & more at the end of the night but alas you have to finish at some point!  It was great to see so many friends and familiar faces there last night enjoying themselves just as much as we were.  We welcomed aboard our new member (Roger) last night who although is still learning the sets on the keys joined us on the sax for quite a few of the numbers, which was really fab! Thanks for that you are truly an asset to the band and we are all really glad to have you aboard. Onwards & upwards, things can only get better!

For those of you at Yeovil that come to see us we will be back next week! (14/8)

Until then..........

Busy times!

Well it looks like we're not due a break this summer now every Saturday is booked in August and being booked for many prestigious gigs through out the remainder of the year!

We welcome a new member to the band who will be playing keyboards and sax of various descriptions from the end of August, we are all looking forward to this especially Sonia as she now has a team player on the sax! This will enable us to diverisify and introduce new genres of music to our repetoire and enhance what we already do!  So we have decided that we will be booking another studio session once we have settled in the new member which of course we will keep you updated on. Just need to get Stu to do some more singing now, shame he's such a shy boy!

Just watch this space.........................................

Bon Voyage

Well we had yet another great night at this private party, the lucky person who was the special guest is not only leaving his job but off to sunny Cyprus to live, oh how we all dream of such a life!

The audience were all fantastic and as always we had several encores before we had finished for the night not only did the guests have a great night but the band really enjoyed themselves, special thanks to the hosts who accomodated us very well by keeping us fed and watered all night.

The next public event is at The Old Lane Chippenham on 7th August and we hope to see you all there to have yet another cracking evening, don't be shy come and have a chat with us as Chris especially loves to chat so much that the only time we have any peace from him is when we are on stage, even then he still has a few comments!

Until next time!
